Kaitlyn HultmanTechnical Assistant

Education : BS in Neuroscience, University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a focus on neurobiology and biochemistry

I am interested in discovering the mechanisms of neuroplasticity, synaptic plasticity in particular. I trained in both biochemistry and neurobiology labs, working on cellular mechanisms of the ER, development of Alzheimer’s based on the blood brain barrier, and also critical period of neurodevelopment. I found a deeper interest in the neuroplastic mechanisms and I am excited to be assisting Kendyll on her project on inhibitory synapses on to the visual cortex.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching cozy shows, cooking and going for bike rides.
